CT Man, 21, Killed After Hitting Concrete Sign Support, State Police Say

A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed after hitting a concrete sign support.

A 21-year-old New Haven man was killed in a single-car crash on Route 9 after hitting a concrete sign support.

The crash occurred in Hartford County at 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 on Route 9 in New Britain.

According to the Connecticut State Police, New Haven resident Anthony Montminy, age 21, was traveling south of exit 37 in an Infiniti Q50 in the center lane of three when for an unknown reason, he veered across the left lane, into the left shoulder and entered the grassy median. 

The Infiniti then collided with a concrete sign support and came to a final rest within the grassy median, police said.

Montminy suffered injuries not compatible with life and was pronounced dead at the scene.
